Information and Support

If you have problems or concerns relating to daily living, you can receive one-to-one support and guidance from the Information and Support Workers at BAND.

They have developed a wide range of resources that will help you find the relevant support and guidance on:

  • Benefits advice
  • Volunteering
  • Education and training
  • Employment opportunities
  • Housing support
  • Counselling and other mental health support

If the Information and Support Worker is unable to help you then they will do their best to find someone who can and support you to access their service.

Befriending

If you feel that you would benefit from someone to chat with on a regular basis and maybe go for a coffee, we have a number of trained volunteers who are matched with individuals to do just that.

You can self-refer into this service.

Following referral you will be invited to meet with a recovery worker for a brief assessment after which you will be introduced to your buddy. From then on you arrange mutually convenient times to meet up with your worker.
