Building A New Direction

At BAND we are constantly working to develop new ways of bringing Community Engagement and Service User Representation together, to ensure equality of opportunity in:

• accessing mental health services
• the evaluation, monitoring and development of current and new mental health services

We strive to raise mental health awareness within communities, and to improve cultural understanding and competency within the mental health workforce.

BAND recruits and supports people with experience of using mental health services to represent the views of service users and carers of service users on a range of committees facilitated by the CCG and GMW Mental Health Foundation Trust.
