  • Facilitate the identification of your personal aspirations and goals
  • Consider with you the steps you need to take to reach your goals
  • Empower and assist you to reach your goals, and offer support with maintaining your recovery

"I have lots of appointments to attend, due to my mental health condition I sometimes forget what has been said at consultation. My worker comes with me and I can check things out with her later, I trust her and we go for a coffee in between appointments, it makes life easier for me"

"I have been a volunteer with the recovery project for approximately 12 months as a volunteer. I have supported 4 ladies at college on various short courses such as healthy eating, colour me confident and beauty on a budget. The experience is rewarding to see the ladies grow in confidence and we have all made new friends and learned new skills"

Group Activities

We also provide group recovery based services through the Activity and Learning Space, Recovery Hubs and through Shared Interest Groups. These are a great opportunity to meet people in a similar situation to you, to make friends and to find peer support. Read more

"Recovery to me means striking a balance between taking the appropriate medication, meeting like-minded people, having a healthy diet and taking regular exercise. I believe there are many steps to be taken to positive mental health and only the individual can instigate this change in mood within their core being.""I believe in free speech to tackle the stigma that envelopes society and in challenging one's own apathy by joining groups in order to bring about social change in the wider community. There will be challenges ahead but wuth the right guidance and moral support, individuals can flourish and prosper"

Matt has travelled his own journey into recovery and is now a valued volunteer with BAND.
