Unfortunately the work on the YMCA boiler has not been completed. This means that we are unable to open the recovery hub this evening, Weds 6th Jan.

We are hopeful that it will be up and running later in the week, meaning we can open the recovery hub on Sunday 10th January 10am - 2pm. Please check back here as we will update this news item when we know.

New Year Opening

Posted on: Wednesday, December 30, 2015

Unfortunately, there have been some building maintenance problems at the YMCA, as a result of which the water has to be turned off. For health and safety reasons we are not able to open the social space until this situation has been resolved.

This is unlikely to be before the New Year and it is with regret that we announce that we will not be open tonight, Thursday 31 December or Sunday 3 January as planned. Sincere apologies for the inconvenience. We will update on the situation when the office re-opens on 4 January 2016.

Job Opportunity - Complex Case Worker

Posted on: Monday, October 26, 2015

We are looking for a Complex Case Support Worker to walk alongside and support people who come to us for help with issues that are impacting on their lives and wellbeing.

The role sits within our Recovery Service, which provides a range of activities and services designed to offer support at all stages of someone’s recovery journey.  In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference to someone’s life, offering person centred support to find solutions to the problems that they are facing.

We are looking for a motivated individual who is committed to providing good quality support to adults living with a mental health condition.  You will have a good understanding of the impact of mental health conditions on people’s lives, the ability to work to recovery principles and a non-judgemental attitude.   We are a small, close team that works closely together and so team working is a must!

Applications must be received at the BAND office by 12noon on Wednesday 11th November 2015.  LATE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED
