Job Opportunity - Finance Officer

We are seeking an experienced Finance Officer.

The Finance Officer will be a key member of our small Senior Management Team which drives the strategic direction of the charity. Within the team, they will be responsible for the day to day accounting and financial management of the charity.

The successful applicant will be confident in all aspects of accounting procedures and legislation and will have an understanding of charity SORP.  They will also have a knowledge of financial legislation in respect of Charities, and experience of payroll operation, including PAYE, SSP, SMP and pension contributions.

Job Opportunity - Wellbeing Trainer

A post has become available for a Wellbeing Trainer

BAND has developed a Wellbeing Course for people from Asylum Seeker and Refugee Communities. The aim of the course is to help people to understand what changes they can make to their lives to help them to feel better in their mind, body and spirit.


Each course lasts for a total of 12 hours, either over 3x 4 hour sessions or 6x 2 hour sessions. The course is delivered twice a year in each of 6 localities around Greater Manchester. You will also need to come to BAND for supervision, training and team meetings.

Full training and ongoing support for this post will be provided.

Bolton LGBT+ and Manchester Pride

Bolton LGBT+ is going to Manchester Pride on Saturday, 27.08.2016.


The group has organised to be part of the parade with a big lorry and up to 50 walking places.

BAND is supporting this event and they meet every Wednesday from 5.30 - 7.00 pm to make decorations for the float and costumes, hats, flags and other colourful accessories to take on the day.

If you want to be part of the parade this year and don’t want to go alone, please join us, anyone is welcome. 

Feel free to come along to the art and crafts session on Wednesdays and be part of the planning.

Please keep in mind that there are only 6 weeks to go until the big Manchester Pride Weekend.

Health and Wellbeing Event - October 2016

BAND is planning an event for the World Mental Health Day in October 2016.

We are looking for community groups or individuals who would like to take part in the event to promote:

"Looking after yourself and the people around you"

You could present a drama, musical, community dance, or anything else provided it is based on a wellbeing theme.
