Living Life to the Full - January 2017

We are pleased to announce that we have two Living Life to the Full courses coming up in January 2017, one at the Central Hub in the YMCA and one in Horwich.


Central Hub,

Time: 1:00pm – 2:30pm


Horwich Resource Centre,

Beaumont Road,

Starting: Monday 23rd January 2017

Time: 10:30am – 12:00pm

Please note: Both sessions will break for half-term on week commencing 20th February and return on Monday 27th/Tuesday 28th February.

The course consists of eight weekly sessions and each session lasts 1.5 hours. We ask that you try your best to attend every session in order that you get the best out of the course.

There are limited places on these courses so registration prior to the start of the course is essential.

Job Opportunity - Finance Officer

We are seeking an experienced Finance Officer.

The Finance Officer will be a key member of our small Senior Management Team which drives the strategic direction of the charity. Within the team, they will be responsible for the day to day accounting and financial management of the charity.

The successful applicant will be confident in all aspects of accounting procedures and legislation and will have an understanding of charity SORP.  They will also have a knowledge of financial legislation in respect of Charities, and experience of payroll operation, including PAYE, SSP, SMP and pension contributions.

Job Opportunity - Wellbeing Trainer

A post has become available for a Wellbeing Trainer

BAND has developed a Wellbeing Course for people from Asylum Seeker and Refugee Communities. The aim of the course is to help people to understand what changes they can make to their lives to help them to feel better in their mind, body and spirit.


Each course lasts for a total of 12 hours, either over 3x 4 hour sessions or 6x 2 hour sessions. The course is delivered twice a year in each of 6 localities around Greater Manchester. You will also need to come to BAND for supervision, training and team meetings.

Full training and ongoing support for this post will be provided.
