Friday Contact has been established for 17 years, for the first 15 years in the United Reform Church in Starkie Rd and, since May 2006 in new premises at 174 Tonge Moor Rd.
Member'ship attendance at F.C. averages 25 each Friday with Member's popping in for a brew or staying for the day between the hours of 9 and 3.
Member's are involved in a number of activities throughout the day and a favourite is our computer suite on the ground floor.Upstairs we have craft facilities which also doubles as a dining room/games room.
Currently underway is The Inside Out Project. To create a pleasant urban garden in the back yard area where we are hoping to have occasional bar-b-qs and sunny gatherings from summer 2007.
Our aim at Friday Contact is to get out and about at least 4 times a year on day trips.we recently went to cheshire to visit a craft workshop and ice cream farm which was attended by 28 Member's. Seaside visits are also popular and the Christmas period at F.C. brings about our party season and usually a trip out for christmas lunch at a venue chosen by the Member's.
